Adopting a new pup from the pound can be a difficult choice, so it’s not surprising that Jennifer Aniston got teary-eyed at the animal shelter where she got her new pooch. The actress was having a hard time picking out just one new companion to take home.
During an appearance on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno, Aniston shared, “We were there for three hours, and I’m telling you, I was almost walking out with three puppies. It’s so hard. That’s why we named her Sophie, because it was Sophie’s Choice. I was crying – it was so hard.”
The actress is a known dog lover. She even commemorated her deceased pooch, Norman, with a tattoo of his name on her foot. Sophie, who is a pit bull-boxer mix, will be joining Aniston’s other dog, a white shepherd named Dolly.
